How to overcome the carnal mind

Rom 8:2 For the law of the Spirit of life [which is] in Christ Jesus [the law of our new being] has freed me from the law of sin and of death.
Rom 8:3 For God has done what the Law could not do, [its power] being weakened by the flesh [the entire nature of man without the Holy Spirit]. Sending His own Son in the guise of sinful flesh and as an offering for sin, [God] condemned sin in the flesh [subdued, overcame, deprived it of its power over all who accept that sacrifice],
Rom 8:4 So that the righteous {and} just requirement of the Law might be fully met in us who live {and} move not in the ways of the flesh but in the ways of the Spirit [our lives governed not by the standards and according to the dictates of the flesh, but controlled by the Holy Spirit].
Rom 8:5 For those who are according to the flesh {and} are controlled by its unholy desires set their minds on {and} pursue those things which gratify the flesh, but those who are according to the Spirit {and} are controlled by the desires of the Spirit set their minds on {and} seek those things which gratify the [Holy] Spirit.
Rom 8:6 Now the mind of the flesh [which is sense and reason without the Holy Spirit] is death [death that comprises all the miseries arising from sin, both here and hereafter]. But the mind of the [Holy] Spirit is life and [soul] peace [both now and forever].
Rom 8:7 [That is] because the mind of the flesh [with its carnal thoughts and purposes] is hostile to God, for it does not submit itself to God's Law; indeed it cannot.
Rom 8:8 So then those who are living the life of the flesh [catering to the appetites and impulses of their carnal nature] cannot please {or} satisfy God, {or} be acceptable to Him.
Rom 8:9 But you are not living the life of the flesh, you are living the life of the Spirit, if the [Holy] Spirit of God [really] dwells within you [directs and controls you]. But if anyone does not possess the [Holy] Spirit of Christ, he is none of His [he does not belong to Christ, is not truly a child of God].
Rom 8:10 But if Christ lives in you, [then although] your [natural] body is dead by reason of sin {and} guilt, the spirit is alive because of [the] righteousness [that He imputes to you].
Rom 8:11 And if the Spirit of Him Who raised up Jesus from the dead dwells in you, [then] He Who raised up Christ {Jesus} from the dead will also restore to life your mortal (short-lived, perishable) bodies through His Spirit Who dwells in you.
Rom 8:12 So then, brethren, we are debtors, but not to the flesh [we are not obligated to our carnal nature], to live [a life ruled by the standards set up by the dictates] of the flesh.
Rom 8:13 For if you live according to [the dictates of] the flesh, you will surely die. But if through the power of the [Holy] Spirit you are [habitually] putting to death (making extinct, deadening) the [evil] deeds prompted by the body, you shall [really and genuinely] live forever.

Rom 8:37 Yet amid all these things we are more than conquerors {and} gain a surpassing victory through Him Who loved us.

Gal 5:13 For you, brethren, were [indeed] called to freedom; only [do not let your] freedom be an incentive to your flesh {and} an opportunity {or} excuse [for selfishness], but through love you should serve one another.
Gal 5:14 For the whole Law [concerning human relationships] is complied with in the one precept, You shall love your neighbor as [you do] yourself.
Gal 5:15 But if you bite and devour one another [in partisan strife], be careful that you [and your whole fellowship] are not consumed by one another.
Gal 5:16 But I say, walk {and} live [habitually] in the [Holy] Spirit [responsive to {and} controlled {and} guided by the Spirit]; then you will certainly not gratify the cravings {and} desires of the flesh (of human nature without God).
Gal 5:17 For the desires of the flesh are opposed to the [Holy] Spirit, and the [desires of the] Spirit are opposed to the flesh (godless human nature); for these are antagonistic to each other [continually withstanding and in conflict with each other], so that you are not free {but} are prevented from doing what you desire to do.

Rom 12:1 I APPEAL to you therefore, brethren, {and} beg of you in view of [all] the mercies of God, to make a decisive dedication of your bodies [presenting all your members and faculties] as a living sacrifice, holy (devoted, consecrated) and well pleasing to God, which is your reasonable (rational, intelligent) service {and} spiritual worship.
Rom 12:2 Do not be conformed to this world (this age), [fashioned after and adapted to its external, superficial customs], but be transformed (changed) by the [entire] renewal of your mind [by its new ideals and its new attitude], so that you may prove [for yourselves] what is the good and acceptable and perfect will of God, {even} the thing which is good and acceptable and perfect [in His sight for you].

1 Pet 1:13 So brace up your minds; be sober (circumspect, morally alert); set your hope wholly {and} unchangeably on the grace (divine favor) that is coming to you when Jesus Christ (the Messiah) is revealed.
1 Pet 1:14 [Live] as children of obedience [to God]; do not conform yourselves to the evil desires [that governed you] in your former ignorance [when you did not know the requirements of the Gospel].
1 Pet 1:15 But as the One Who called you is holy, you yourselves also be holy in all your conduct {and} manner of living.

Gal 2:20 I have been crucified with Christ [in Him I have shared His crucifixion]; it is no longer I who live, but Christ (the Messiah) lives in me; and the life I now live in the body I live by faith in (by adherence to and reliance on and complete trust in) the Son of God, Who loved me and gave Himself up for me.

Isaiah 26:3 You will guard him {and} keep him in perfect {and} constant peace whose mind [both its inclination and its character] is stayed on You, because he commits himself to You, leans on You, {and} hopes confidently in You.

Rom 6:6 We know that our old (unrenewed) self was nailed to the cross with Him in order that [our] body [which is the instrument] of sin might be made ineffective {and} inactive for evil, that we might no longer be the slaves of sin.
Rom 6:8 Now if we have died with Christ, we believe that we shall also live with Him,
Rom 6:9 Because we know that Christ (the Anointed One), being once raised from the dead, will never die again; death no longer has power over Him.
Rom 6:11 Even so consider yourselves also dead to sin {and} your relation to it broken, but alive to God [living in unbroken fellowship with Him] in Christ Jesus.

Eph 4:22 Strip yourselves of your former nature [put off and discard your old unrenewed self] which characterized your previous manner of life and becomes corrupt through lusts {and} desires that spring from delusion;
Eph 4:23 And be constantly renewed in the spirit of your mind [having a fresh mental and spiritual attitude],
Eph 4:24 And put on the new nature (the regenerate self) created in God's image, [Godlike] in true righteousness and holiness.

Phil 2:5 Let this same attitude {and} purpose {and} [humble] mind be in you which was in Christ Jesus: [Let Him be your example in humility:]

Rom 13:13 Let us live {and} conduct ourselves honorably {and} becomingly as in the [open light of] day, not in reveling (carousing) and drunkenness, not in immorality and debauchery (sensuality and licentiousness), not in quarreling and jealousy.
Rom 13:14 But clothe yourself with the Lord Jesus Christ (the Messiah), and make no provision for [indulging] the flesh [put a stop to thinking about the evil cravings of your physical nature] to [gratify its] desires (lusts).

2 Cor 4:16 Therefore we do not become discouraged (utterly spiritless, exhausted, and wearied out through fear). Though our outer man is [progressively] decaying {and} wasting away, yet our inner self is being [progressively] renewed day after day.

Col 2:8 See to it that no one carries you off as spoil {or} makes you yourselves captive by his so-called philosophy {and} intellectualism and vain deceit (idle fancies and plain nonsense), following human tradition (men's ideas of the material rather than the spiritual world), just crude notions following the rudimentary {and} elemental teachings of the universe and disregarding [the teachings of] Christ (the Messiah).

Matt 18:8 And if your hand or your foot causes you to stumble {and} sin, cut it off and throw it away from you; it is better (more profitable and wholesome) for you to enter life maimed or lame than to have two hands or two feet and be thrown into everlasting fire.
Matt 18:9 And if your eye causes you to stumble {and} sin, pluck it out and throw it away from you; it is better (more profitable and wholesome) for you to enter life with only one eye than to have two eyes and be thrown into the hell (Gehenna) of fire.

1 Cor 2:16 For who has known {or} understood the mind (the counsels and purposes) of the Lord so as to guide {and} instruct Him {and} give Him knowledge? But we have the mind of Christ (the Messiah) {and} do hold the thoughts (feelings and purposes) of His heart.

2 Cor 8:12 For if the [eager] readiness to give is there, then it is acceptable {and} welcomed in proportion to what a person has, not according to what he does not have.

Prov 25:28 He who has no rule over his own spirit is like a city that is broken down and without walls.

Num 15:39 And it shall be to you a fringe {or} tassel that you may look upon and remember all the commandments of the Lord and do them, that you may not spy out {and} follow after [the desires of] your own heart and your own eyes, after which you used to follow {and} play the harlot [spiritually, if not physically],
Num 15:40 That you may remember and do all My commandments and be holy to your God.

Phil 3:7 But whatever former things I had that might have been gains to me, I have come to consider as [one combined] loss for Christ's sake.
Phil 3:8 Yes, furthermore, I count everything as loss compared to the possession of the priceless privilege (the overwhelming preciousness, the surpassing worth, and supreme advantage) of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord {and} of progressively becoming more deeply {and} intimately acquainted with Him [of perceiving and recognizing and understanding Him more fully and clearly]. For His sake I have lost everything and consider it all to be mere rubbish (refuse, dregs), in order that I may win (gain) Christ (the Anointed One),

Gal 5:24 And those who belong to Christ Jesus (the Messiah) have crucified the flesh (the godless human nature) with its passions and appetites {and} desires.
Gal 5:25 If we live by the [Holy] Spirit, let us also walk by the Spirit. [If by the Holy Spirit we have our life in God, let us go

1 Cor 9:27 But [like a boxer] I buffet my body [handle it roughly, discipline it by hardships] and subdue it, for fear that after proclaiming to others the Gospel {and} things pertaining to it, I myself should become unfit [not stand the test, be unapproved and rejected as a counterfeit].

1 Cor 10:21 You cannot drink the Lord's cup and the demons' cup. You cannot partake of the Lord's table and the demons' table.

Prov 14:12 There is a way which seems right to a man {and} appears straight before him, but at the end of it is the way of death.

Phil 4:8 For the rest, brethren, whatever is true, whatever is worthy of reverence {and} is honorable {and} seemly, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely {and} lovable, whatever is kind {and} winsome {and} gracious, if there is any virtue {and} excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think on {and} weigh {and} take account of these things [fix your minds on them].

How to overcome satan

Eph 6:10 In conclusion, be strong in the Lord [be empowered through your union with Him]; draw your strength from Him [that strength which His boundless might provides].
Eph 6:11 Put on God's whole armor [the armor of a heavy-armed soldier which God supplies], that you may be able successfully to stand up against [all] the strategies {and} the deceits of the devil.
Eph 6:12 For we are not wrestling with flesh and blood [contending only with physical opponents], but against the despotisms, against the powers, against [the master spirits who are] the world rulers of this present darkness, against the spirit forces of wickedness in the heavenly (supernatural) sphere.
Eph 6:13 Therefore put on God's complete armor, that you may be able to resist {and} stand your ground on the evil day [of danger], and, having done all [the crisis demands], to stand [firmly in your place].
Eph 6:14 Stand therefore [hold your ground], having tightened the belt of truth around your loins and having put on the breastplate of integrity {and} of moral rectitude {and} right standing with God,
Eph 6:15 And having shod your feet in preparation [to face the enemy with the firm-footed stability, the promptness, and the readiness produced by the good news] of the Gospel of peace.
Eph 6:16 Lift up over all the [covering] shield of saving faith, upon which you can quench all the flaming missiles of the wicked [one].
Eph 6:17 And take the helmet of salvation and the sword that the Spirit wields, which is the Word of God.

James 4:7 So be subject to God. Resist the devil [stand firm against him], and he will flee from you.
James 4:8 Come close to God and He will come close to you. [Recognize that you are] sinners, get your soiled hands clean; [realize that you have been disloyal] wavering individuals with divided interests, and purify your hearts [of your spiritual adultery].

Luke 10:18 And He said to them, I saw Satan falling like a lightning [flash] from heaven.
Luke 10:19 Behold! I have given you authority {and} power to trample upon serpents and scorpions, and [physical and mental strength and ability] over all the power that the enemy [possesses]; and nothing shall in any way harm you.

1 Pet 5:8 Be well balanced (temperate, sober of mind), be vigilant {and} cautious at all times; for that enemy of yours, the devil, roams around like a lion roaring [in fierce hunger], seeking someone to seize upon {and} devour.
1 Pet 5:9 Withstand him; be firm in faith [against his onset--rooted, established, strong, immovable, and determined], knowing that the same (identical) sufferings are appointed to your brotherhood (the whole body of Christians) throughout the world.
1 Pet 5:10 And after you have suffered a little while, the God of all grace [Who imparts all blessing and favor], Who has called you to His [own] eternal glory in Christ {Jesus,} will Himself complete {and} make you what you ought to be, establish {and} ground you securely, and strengthen, and settle you.

Ps 121:7 The Lord will keep you from all evil; He will keep your life.
Ps 121:8 The Lord will keep your going out and your coming in from this time forth and forevermore.

Ps 91:3 For [then] He will deliver you from the snare of the fowler and from the deadly pestilence.
Ps 91:4 [Then] He will cover you with His pinions, and under His wings shall you trust {and} find refuge; His truth {and} His faithfulness are a shield and a buckler.
Ps 91:5 You shall not be afraid of the terror of the night, nor of the arrow (the evil plots and slanders of the wicked) that flies by day,
Ps 91:6 Nor of the pestilence that stalks in darkness, nor of the destruction {and} sudden death that surprise {and} lay waste at noonday.
Ps 91:7 A thousand may fall at your side, and ten thousand at your right hand, but it shall not come near you.

1 John 3:8 [But] he who commits sin [who practices evildoing] is of the devil [takes his character from the evil one], for the devil has sinned (violated the divine law) from the beginning. The reason the Son of God was made manifest (visible) was to undo (destroy, loosen, and dissolve) the works the devil [has done].

Phil 4:7
And God's peace [shall be yours, that tranquil state of a soul assured of its salvation through Christ, and so fearing nothing from God and being content with its earthly lot of whatever sort that is, that peace] which transcends all understanding shall garrison {and} mount guard over your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus.

1 John 4:1 BELOVED, DO not put faith in every spirit, but prove (test) the spirits to discover whether they proceed from God; for many false prophets have gone forth into the world.
1 John 4:2 By this you may know (perceive and recognize) the Spirit of God: every spirit which acknowledges {and} confesses [the fact] that Jesus Christ (the Messiah) [actually] has become man {and} has come in the flesh is of God [has God for its source];
1 John 4:3
And every spirit which does not acknowledge {and} confess {that} Jesus {Christ has come in the flesh} [but would annul, destroy, sever, disunite Him] is not of God [does not proceed from Him]. This [nonconfession] is the [spirit] of the antichrist, [of] which you heard that it was coming, and now it is already in the world.
1 John 4:4
Little children, you are of God [you belong to Him] and have [already] defeated {and} overcome them [the agents of the antichrist], because He Who lives in you is greater (mightier) than he who is in the world.

2 Cor 2:10
If you forgive anyone anything, I too forgive that one; and what I have forgiven, if I have forgiven anything, has been for your sakes in the presence [and with the approval] of Christ (the Messiah),
2 Cor 2:11 To keep Satan from getting the advantage over us; for we are not ignorant of his wiles {and} intentions.

Eph 4:26 When angry, do not sin; do not ever let your wrath (your exasperation, your fury or indignation) last until the sun goes down.
Eph 4:27 Leave no [such] room {or} foothold for the devil [give no opportunity to him].

2 Thess 3:3 Yet the Lord is faithful, and He will strengthen [you] {and} set you on a firm foundation and guard you from the evil [one].

2 Tim 4:18 [And indeed] the Lord will certainly deliver {and} draw me to Himself from every assault of evil. He will preserve {and} bring me safe unto His heavenly kingdom. To Him be the glory forever and ever. Amen (so be it).

Rom 8:37 Yet amid all these things we are more than conquerors {and} gain a surpassing victory through Him Who loved us.

Rev 3:21 He who overcomes (is victorious), I will grant him to sit beside Me on My throne, as I Myself overcame (was victorious) and sat down beside My Father on His throne.

Rev 20:10 Then the devil who had led them astray [deceiving and seducing them] was hurled into the fiery lake of burning brimstone, where the beast and false prophet were; and they will be tormented day and night forever and ever (through the ages of the ages).

Heb 2:18 For because He Himself [in His humanity] has suffered in being tempted (tested and tried), He is able [immediately] to run to the cry of (assist, relieve) those who are being tempted {and} tested {and} tried [and who therefore are being exposed to suffering].

Matt 6:33 But seek (aim at and strive after) first of all His kingdom and His righteousness (His way of doing and being right), and then all these things taken together will be given you besides.
Matt 6:34 So do not worry {or} be anxious about tomorrow, for tomorrow will have worries {and} anxieties of its own. Sufficient for each day is its own trouble

Matt 7:15 Beware of false prophets, who come to you dressed as sheep, but inside they are devouring wolves.
Matt 7:16 You will fully recognize them by their fruits. Do people pick grapes from thorns, or figs from thistles?
Matt 7:17 Even so, every healthy (sound) tree bears good fruit [worthy of admiration], but the sickly (decaying, worthless) tree bears bad (worthless) fruit.

Matt 10:16 Behold, I am sending you out like sheep in the midst of wolves; be wary {and} wise as serpents, and be innocent (harmless, guileless, and without falsity) as doves.

1 Tim 3:6 He must not be a new convert, or he may [develop a beclouded and stupid state of mind] as the result of pride [be blinded by conceit, and] fall into the condemnation that the devil [once] did.
1 Tim 3:7 Furthermore, he must have a good reputation {and} be well thought of by those outside [the church], lest he become involved in slander {and} incur reproach and fall into the devil's trap.

How to recognize evil

Matt 7:15 Beware of false prophets, who come to you dressed as sheep, but inside they are devouring wolves.
Matt 7:16 You will fully recognize them by their fruits. Do people pick grapes from thorns, or figs from thistles?
Matt 7:17 Even so, every healthy (sound) tree bears good fruit [worthy of admiration], but the sickly (decaying, worthless) tree bears bad (worthless) fruit.
Matt 7:20 Therefore, you will fully know them by their fruits.
Matt 7:21 Not everyone who says to Me, Lord, Lord, will enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father Who is in heaven.
Matt 7:22 Many will say to Me on that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your name and driven out demons in Your name and done many mighty works in Your name?
Matt 7:23 And then I will say to them openly (publicly), I never knew you; depart from Me, you who act wickedly [disregarding My commands].

1 John 4:1 BELOVED, DO not put faith in every spirit, but prove (test) the spirits to discover whether they proceed from God; for many false prophets have gone forth into the world.
1 John 4:2 By this you may know (perceive and recognize) the Spirit of God: every spirit which acknowledges {and} confesses [the fact] that Jesus Christ (the Messiah) [actually] has become man {and} has come in the flesh is of God [has God for its source];
1 John 4:3 And every spirit which does not acknowledge {and} confess {that} Jesus {Christ has come in the flesh} [but would annul, destroy, sever, disunite Him] is not of God [does not proceed from Him]. This [nonconfession] is the [spirit] of the antichrist, [of] which you heard that it was coming, and now it is already in the world.

Isaiah 8:19 And when the people [instead of putting their trust in God] shall say to you, Consult for direction mediums and wizards who chirp and mutter, should not a people seek {and} consult their God? Should they consult the dead on behalf of the living?
Isaiah 8:20 [Direct such people] to the teaching and to the testimony! If their teachings are not in accord with this word, it is surely because there is no dawn {and} no morning for them.

Jer 23:32 Behold, I am against those who prophesy lying dreams, says the Lord, and tell them and cause My people to err {and} go astray by their lies and by their vain boasting {and} recklessness--when I did not send them or command them; nor do they profit these people at all, says the Lord.

Luke 6:43 For there is no good (healthy) tree that bears decayed (worthless, stale) fruit, nor on the other hand does a decayed (worthless, sickly) tree bear good fruit.
Luke 6:44 For each tree is known {and} identified by its own fruit; for figs are not gathered from thornbushes, nor is a cluster of grapes picked from a bramblebush.

1 Cor 14:33 For He [Who is the source of their prophesying] is not a God of confusion {and} disorder but of peace {and} order. As [is the practice] in all the churches of the saints (God's people),

2 Tim 1:7 For God did not give us a spirit of timidity (of cowardice, of craven and cringing and fawning fear), but [He has given us a spirit] of power and of love and of calm {and} w

Hos 12:7 Canaan [Israel--whose ideals have sunk to those of Canaan] is a trader; the balances of deceit are in his hand; he loves to oppress {and} defraud.

Titus 1:16 They profess to know God [to recognize, perceive, and be acquainted with Him], but deny {and} disown {and} renounce Him by what they do; they are detestable {and} loathsome, unbelieving {and} disobedient {and} disloyal {and} rebellious, and [they are] unfit {and} worthless for good work (deed or enterprise) of any kind.

1 John 3:10 By this it is made clear who take their nature from God {and} are His children and who take their nature from the devil {and} are his children: no one who does not practice righteousness [who does not conform to God's will in purpose, thought, and action] is of God; neither is anyone who does not love his brother (his fellow believer in Christ).

2 John 1:7
For many imposters (seducers, deceivers, and false leaders) have gone out into the world, men who will not acknowledge (confess, admit) the coming of Jesus Christ (the Messiah) in bodily form. Such a one is the imposter (the seducer, the deceiver, the false leader, the antagonist of Christ) and the antichrist.
2 John 1:9 Anyone who runs on ahead [of God] and does not abide in the doctrine of Christ [who is not content with what He taught] does not have God; but he who continues to live in the doctrine (teaching) of Christ [does have God], he has both the Father and the Son.
2 John 1:10 If anyone comes to you and does not bring this doctrine [is disloyal to what Jesus Christ taught], do not receive him [do not accept him, do not welcome or admit him] into [your] house or bid him Godspeed {or} give him any encouragement.
2 John 1:11 For he who wishes him success [who encourages him, wishing him Godspeed] is a partaker in his evil doings.

1 Tim 1:7 They are ambitious to be doctors of the Law (teachers of the Mosaic ritual), but they have no understanding either of the words {and} terms they use or of the subjects about which they make [such] dogmatic assertions.

Job 41:24 His heart is as firm as a stone, indeed, as solid as a nether millstone.
Job 41:34 He looks all mighty [beasts of prey] in the face [without terror]; he is monarch over all the sons of pride. [And now, Job, who are you who dares not arouse the unmastered crocodile, yet who dares resist Me, the beast's Creator, to My face? Everything under the heavens is Mine; therefore, who can have a claim against God?]

Isaiah 28:9 To whom will He teach knowledge? [Ask the drunkards.] And whom will He make to understand the message? Those who are babies, just weaned from the milk and taken from the breasts? [Is that what He thinks we are?]

Jude 1:4 For certain men have crept in stealthily [gaining entrance secretly by a side door]. Their doom was predicted long ago, ungodly (impious, profane) persons who pervert the grace (the spiritual blessing and favor) of our God into lawlessness {and} wantonness {and} immorality, and disown {and} deny our sole Master and Lord, Jesus Christ (the Messiah, the Anointed One).

How to overcome worldliness

Matt 6:24 No one can serve two masters; for either he will hate the one and love the other, or he will stand by {and} be devoted to the one and despise and be against the other. You cannot serve God and mammon (deceitful riches, money, possessions, or whatever is trusted in).

1 John 2:15 Do not love {or} cherish the world or the things that are in the world. If anyone loves the world, love for the Father is not in him.
1 John 2:16 For all that is in the world--the lust of the flesh [craving for sensual gratification] and the lust of the eyes [greedy longings of the mind] and the pride of life [assurance in one's own resources or in the stability of earthly things]--these do not come from the Father but are from the world [itself].
1 John 2:17 And the world passes away {and} disappears, and with it the forbidden cravings (the passionate desires, the lust) of it; but he who does the will of God and carries out His purposes in his life abides (remains) forever.

Rom 13:11 Besides this you know what [a critical] hour this is, how it is high time now for you to wake up out of your sleep (rouse to reality). For salvation (final deliverance) is nearer to us now than when we first believed (adhered to, trusted in, and relied on Christ, the Messiah).
Rom 13:12 The night is far gone and the day is almost here. Let us then drop (fling away) the works {and} deeds of darkness and put on the [full] armor of light.

Eph 5:11 Take no part in {and} have no fellowship with the fruitless deeds {and} enterprises of darkness, but instead [let your lives be so in contrast as to] expose {and} reprove {and} convict them.

2 Pet 2:9 Now if [all these things are true, then be sure] the Lord knows how to rescue the godly out of temptations {and} trials, and how to keep the ungodly under chastisement until the day of judgment {and} doom,

Luke 9:23 And He said to all, If any person wills to come after Me, let him deny himself [disown himself, forget, lose sight of himself and his own interests, refuse and give up himself] and take up his cross daily and follow Me [cleave steadfastly to Me, conform wholly to My example in living and, if need be, in dying also].
Luke 9:24 For whoever would preserve his life {and} save it will lose {and} destroy it, but whoever loses his life for My sake, he will preserve {and} save it [from the penalty of eternal death].
Luke 9:25 For what does it profit a man, if he gains the whole world and ruins or forfeits (loses) himself?

Josh 24:14 Now therefore, [reverently] fear the Lord and serve Him in sincerity and in truth; put away the gods which your fathers served on the other side of the [Euphrates] River and in Egypt, and serve the Lord.

Heb 12:25 So see to it that you do not reject Him {or} refuse to listen to {and} heed Him Who is speaking [to you now]. For if they [the Israelites] did not escape when they refused to listen {and} heed Him Who warned {and} divinely instructed them [here] on earth [revealing with heavenly warnings His will], how much less shall we escape if we reject {and} turn our backs on Him Who cautions {and} admonishes [us] from heaven?
Heb 12:26 Then [at Mount Sinai] His voice shook the earth, but now He has given a promise: Yet once more I will shake {and} make tremble not only the earth but also the [starry] heavens.
Heb 12:27 Now this expression, Yet once more, indicates the final removal {and} transformation of all [that can be] shaken--that is, of that which has been created--in order that what cannot be shaken may remain {and} continue.

2 Pet 1:4 By means of these He has bestowed on us His precious and exceedingly great promises, so that through them you may escape [by flight] from the moral decay (rottenness and corruption) that is in the world because of covetousness (lust and greed), and become sharers (partakers) of the divine nature.

Luke 21:34 But take heed to yourselves {and} be on your guard, lest your hearts be overburdened {and} depressed (weighed down) with the giddiness {and} headache {and} nausea of self-indulgence, drunkenness, and worldly worries {and} cares pertaining to [the business of] this life, and [lest] that day come upon you suddenly like a trap {or} a noose;

Col 3:2 And set your minds {and} keep them set on what is above (the higher things), not on the things that are on the earth.
Col 3:9
Do not lie to one another, for you have stripped off the old (unregenerate) self with its evil practices,
Col 3:10 And have clothed yourselves with the new [spiritual self], which is [ever in the process of being] renewed {and} remolded into [fuller and more perfect knowledge upon] knowledge after the image (the likeness) of Him Who created it.

1 Cor 10:13
For no temptation (no trial regarded as enticing to sin), [no matter how it comes or where it leads] has overtaken you {and} laid hold on you that is not common to man [that is, no temptation or trial has come to you that is beyond human resistance and that is not adjusted and adapted and belonging to human experience, and such as man can bear]. But God is faithful [to His Word and to His compassionate nature], and He [can be trusted] not to let you be tempted {and} tried {and} assayed beyond your ability {and} strength of resistance {and} power to endure, but with the temptation He will [always] also provide the way out (the means of escape to a landing place), that you may be capable {and} strong {and} powerful to bear up under it patiently.
1 Cor 10:21 You cannot drink the Lord's cup and the demons' cup. You cannot partake of the Lord's table and the demons' table.

2 Cor 4:2 We have renounced disgraceful ways (secret thoughts, feelings, desires and underhandedness, the methods and arts that men hide through shame); we refuse to deal craftily (to practice trickery and cunning) or to adulterate {or} handle dishonestly the Word of God, but we state the truth openly (clearly and candidly). And so we commend ourselves in the sight {and} presence of God to every man's conscience.

Titus 2:12 It has trained us to reject {and} renounce all ungodliness (irreligion) and worldly (passionate) desires, to live discreet (temperate, self-controlled), upright, devout (spiritually whole) lives in this present world,
Titus 2:13 Awaiting {and} looking for the [fulfillment, the realization of our] blessed hope, even the glorious appearing of our great God and Savior Christ Jesus (the Messiah, the Anointed One),

Phil 3:7 But whatever former things I had that might have been gains to me, I have come to consider as [one combined] loss for Christ's sake.

1 John 5:5 Who is it that is victorious over [that conquers] the world but he who believes that Jesus is the Son of God [who adheres to, trusts in, and relies on that fact]?

James 1:19 Understand [this], my beloved brethren. Let every man be quick to hear [a ready listener], slow to speak, slow to take offense {and} to get angry.
James 1:20 For man's anger does not promote the righteousness God [wishes and requires].
James 1:21 So get rid of all uncleanness and the rampant outgrowth of wickedness, and in a humble (gentle, modest) spirit receive {and} welcome the Word which implanted {and} rooted [in your hearts] contains the power to save your souls.
James 1:27 External religious worship [religion as it is expressed in outward acts] that is pure and unblemished in the sight of God the Father is this: to visit {and} help {and} care for the orphans and widows in their affliction {and} need, and to keep oneself unspotted {and} uncontaminated from the world.

Luke 12:15
And He said to them, Guard yourselves and keep free from all covetousness (the immoderate desire for wealth, the greedy longing to have more); for a man's life does not consist in {and} is not derived from possessing overflowing abundance {or} that which is over and above his needs.

James 3:10 Out of the same mouth come forth blessing and cursing. These things, my brethren, ought not to be so.
James 3:11 Does a fountain send forth [simultaneously] from the same opening fresh water and bitter?

James 4:4 You [are like] unfaithful wives [having illicit love affairs with the world and breaking your marriage vow to God]! Do you not know that being the world's friend is being God's enemy? So whoever chooses to be a friend of the world takes his stand as an enemy of God.

John 16:33 I have told you these things, so that in Me you may have [perfect] peace {and} confidence. In the world you have tribulation {and} trials {and} distress {and} frustration; but be of good cheer [take courage; be confident, certain, undaunted]! For I have overcome the world. [I have deprived it of power to harm you and have conquered it for you.]

Prov 20:1 WINE IS a mocker, strong drink a riotous brawler; and whoever errs {or} reels because of it is not wise.
Prov 20:2 The terror of a king is as the roaring of a lion; whoever provokes him to anger {or} angers himself against him sins against his own life.

Prov 27:20
Sheol (the place of the dead) and Abaddon (the place of destruction) are never satisfied; so [the lust of] the eyes of man is never satisfied.

Isaiah 30:1 WOE TO the rebellious children, says the Lord, who take counsel {and} carry out a plan, but not Mine, and who make a league {and} pour out a drink offering, but not of My Spirit, thus adding sin to sin;

Rom 6:11 Even so consider yourselves also dead to sin {and} your relation to it broken, but alive to God [living in unbroken fellowship with Him] in Christ Jesus.
Rom 6:12 Let not sin therefore rule as king in your mortal (short-lived, perishable) bodies, to make you yield to its cravings {and} be subject to its lusts {and} evil passions.

2 Cor 6:14 Do not be unequally yoked with unbelievers [do not make mismated alliances with them or come under a different yoke with them, inconsistent with your faith]. For what partnership have right living {and} right standing with God with iniquity {and} lawlessness? Or how can light have fellowship with darkness?
2 Cor 6:15 What harmony can there be between Christ and Belial [the devil]? Or what has a believer in common with an unbeliever?
2 Cor 6:16 What agreement [can there be between] a temple of God and idols? For we are the temple of the living God; even as God said, I will dwell in {and} with {and} among them and will walk in {and} with {and} among them, and I will be their God, and they shall be My people.
2 Cor 6:17 So, come out from among [unbelievers], and separate (sever) yourselves from them, says the Lord, and touch not [any] unclean thing; then I will receive you kindly {and} treat you with favor,

Mark 4:18
And the ones sown among the thorns are others who hear the Word;
Mark 4:19 Then the cares {and} anxieties of the world {and} distractions of the age, and the pleasure {and} delight {and} false glamour {and} deceitfulness of riches, and the craving {and} passionate desire for other things creep in and choke {and} suffocate the Word, and it becomes fruitless.
Mark 4:20 And those sown on the good (well-adapted) soil are the ones who hear the Word and receive {and} accept {and} welcome it and bear fruit--some thirty times as much as was sown, some sixty times as much, and some [even] a hundred times as much.

How to deal with lust

1 Cor 6:15 Do you not see {and} know that your bodies are members (bodily parts) of Christ (the Messiah)? Am I therefore to take the parts of Christ and make [them] parts of a prostitute? Never! Never!
1 Cor 6:16 Or do you not know {and} realize that when a man joins himself to a prostitute, he becomes one body with her? The two, it is written, shall become one flesh.
1 Cor 6:17 But the person who is united to the Lord becomes one spirit with Him.
1 Cor 6:18 Shun immorality {and} all sexual looseness [flee from impurity in thought, word, or deed]. Any other sin which a man commits is one outside the body, but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body.
1 Cor 6:19 Do you not know that your body is the temple (the very sanctuary) of the Holy Spirit Who lives within you, Whom you have received [as a Gift] from God? You are not your own,
1 Cor 6:20 You were bought with a price [purchased with a preciousness and paid for, made His own]. So then, honor God {and} bring glory to Him in your body.

1 Cor 10:13 For no temptation (no trial regarded as enticing to sin), [no matter how it comes or where it leads] has overtaken you {and} laid hold on you that is not common to man [that is, no temptation or trial has come to you that is beyond human resistance and that is not adjusted and adapted and belonging to human experience, and such as man can bear].

Eph 4:22 Strip yourselves of your former nature [put off and discard your old unrenewed self] which characterized your previous manner of life and becomes corrupt through lusts {and} desires that spring from delusion;
Eph 4:23 And be constantly renewed in the spirit of your mind [having a fresh mental and spiritual attitude],
Eph 4:24 And put on the new nature (the regenerate self) created in God's image, [Godlike] in true righteousness and holiness.
Eph 4:27 Leave no [such] room {or} foothold for the devil [give no opportunity to him].

James 4:7 So be subject to God. Resist the devil [stand firm against him], and he will flee from you.

Prov 6:25 Lust not after her beauty in your heart, neither let her capture you with her eyelids.
Prov 6:26 For on account of a harlot a man is brought to a piece of bread, and the adulteress stalks {and} snares [as with a hook] the precious life [of a man].

Prov 7:24 Listen to me now therefore, O you sons, and be attentive to the words of my mouth.
Prov 7:25 Let not your heart incline toward her ways, do not stray into her paths.
Prov 7:26 For she has cast down many wounded; indeed, all her slain are a mighty host.
Prov 7:27 Her house is the way to Sheol (Hades, the place of the dead), going down to the chambers of death.

2 Pet 2:9 Now if [all these things are true, then be sure] the Lord knows how to rescue the godly out of temptations {and} trials, and how to keep the ungodly under chastisement until the day of judgment {and} doom,

James 1:2 Consider it wholly joyful, my brethren, whenever you are enveloped in {or} encounter trials of any sort {or} fall into various temptations.
James 1:3 Be assured {and} understand that the trial {and} proving of your faith bring out endurance {and} steadfastness {and} patience.
James 1:4 But let endurance {and} steadfastness {and} patience have full play {and} do a thorough work, so that you may be [people] perfectly and fully developed [with no defects], lacking in nothing.

Heb 4:15 For we do not have a High Priest Who is unable to understand {and} sympathize {and} have a shared feeling with our weaknesses {and} infirmities {and} liability to the assaults of temptation, but One Who has been tempted in every respect as we are, yet without sinning.

2 Cor 10:4 For the weapons of our warfare are not physical [weapons of flesh and blood], but they are mighty before God for the overthrow {and} destruction of strongholds,

Prov 15:27 He who is greedy for unjust gain troubles his own household, but he who hates bribes will live.
Prov 15:29 The Lord is far from the wicked, but He hears the prayer of the [consistently] righteous (the upright, in right standing with Him).

Mark 11:15
And they came to Jerusalem. And He went into the temple [area, the porches and courts] and began to drive out those who sold and bought in the temple area, and He overturned the [four-footed] tables of the money changers and the seats of those who dealt in doves;
Mark 11:17 And He taught and said to them, Is it not written, My house shall be called a house of prayer for all the nations? But you have turned it into a den of robbers.

Prov 28:22 He who has an evil {and} covetous eye hastens to be rich and knows not that want will come upon him.

Prov 27:24 For riches are not forever; does a crown endure to all generations?

Isaiah 31:7 For in that day every man of you will cast away [in contempt and disgust] his idols of silver and his idols of gold, which your own hands have sinfully made for you.

1 Cor 10:5 Nevertheless, God was not pleased with the great majority of them, for they were overthrown {and} strewn down along [the ground] in the wilderness.
1 Cor 10:6 Now these things are examples (warnings and admonitions) for us not to desire {or} crave {or} covet {or} lust after evil {and} carnal things as they did.
1 Cor 10:7 Do not be worshipers of false gods as some of them were, as it is written, The people sat down to eat and drink [the sacrifices offered to the golden calf at Horeb] and rose to sport (to dance and give way to jesting and hilarity).
1 Cor 10:8 We must not gratify evil desire {and} indulge in immorality as some of them did--and twenty-three thousand [suddenly] fell {dead} in a single day!

Eph 5:5 For this you know with certainty, that no immoral or impure person or covetous man, who is an idolater, has an inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and God.
Eph 5:7 So do not associate {or} be sharers with them.
Eph 5:8 For once you were darkness, but now you are light in the Lord; walk as children of Light [lead the lives of those native-born to the Light].
Eph 5:9 For the fruit (the effect, the product) of the Light {or the Spirit} [consists] in every form of kindly goodness, uprightness of heart, and trueness of life.
Eph 5:18 And do not get drunk with wine, for that is debauchery; but ever be filled {and} stimulated with the [Holy] Spirit.

How to overcome pride

Prov 16:18 Pride goes before destruction, and a haughty spirit before a fall.
Prov 16:19 Better it is to be of a humble spirit with the meek {and} poor than to divide the spoil with the proud.
Prov 16:20 He who deals wisely {and} heeds [God's] word {and} counsel shall find good, and whoever leans on, trusts in, {and} is confident in the Lord--happy, blessed, {and} fortunate is he.

Prov 28:25 He who is of a greedy spirit stirs up strife, but he who puts his trust in the Lord shall be enriched {and} blessed.
Prov 28:26 He who leans on, trusts in, {and} is confident of his own mind {and} heart is a [self-confident] fool, but he who walks in skillful {and} godly Wisdom shall be delivered.

Matt 18:2
And He called a little child to Himself and put him in the midst of them,
Matt 18:3 And said, Truly I say to you, unless you repent (change, turn about) and become like little children [trusting, lowly, loving, forgiving], you can never enter the kingdom of heaven [at all].
Matt 18:4 Whoever will humble himself therefore and become like this little child [trusting, lowly, loving, forgiving] is greatest in the kingdom of heaven.

James 4:6 But He gives us more and more grace (power of the Holy Spirit, to meet this evil tendency and all others fully). That is why He says, God sets Himself against the proud and haughty, but gives grace [continually] to the lowly (those who are humble enough to receive it).
James 4:7 So be subject to God. Resist the devil [stand firm against him], and he will flee from you.
James 4:10 Humble yourselves [feeling very insignificant] in the presence of the Lord, and He will exalt you [He will lift you up and make your lives significant].

Matt 20:26 Not so shall it be among you; but whoever wishes to be great among you must be your servant,
Matt 20:27 And whoever desires to be first among you must be your slave--

1 Pet 5:5 Likewise, you who are younger {and} of lesser rank, be subject to the elders (the ministers and spiritual guides of the church)--[giving them due respect and yielding to their counsel]. Clothe (apron) yourselves, all of you, with humility [as the garb of a servant, so that its covering cannot possibly be stripped from you, with freedom from pride and arrogance] toward one another. For God sets Himself against the proud (the insolent, the overbearing, the disdainful, the presumptuous, the boastful)--[and He opposes, frustrates, and defeats them], but gives grace (favor, blessing) to the humble.
1 Pet 5:6 Therefore humble yourselves [demote, lower yourselves in your own estimation] under the mighty hand of God, that in due time He may exalt you,

Jer 13:15 Hear and give ear, do not be proud, for the Lord has spoken [says Jeremiah].
Jer 13:16 Give glory to the Lord your God before He brings darkness and before your feet stumble upon the dark {and} twilit mountains, and [before], while you are looking for light, He turns it into the shadow of death and makes it thick darkness.
Jer 13:17 But if you will not hear {and} obey, I will weep in secret for your pride; my eyes will weep bitterly and run down with tears, because the Lord's flock has been taken captive.

Matt 11:29 Take My yoke upon you and learn of Me, for I am gentle (meek) and humble (lowly) in heart, and you will find rest (relief and ease and refreshment and recreation and blessed quiet) for your souls.
Matt 11:30 For My yoke is wholesome (useful, good--not harsh, hard, sharp, or pressing, but comfortable, gracious, and pleasant), and My burden is light {and} easy to be borne.

Prov 15:33 The reverent {and} worshipful fear of the Lord brings instruction in Wisdom, and humility comes before honor.

Mark 10:44 And whoever wishes to be most important {and} first in rank among you must be slave of all.

2 Cor 4:7 However, we possess this precious treasure [the divine Light of the Gospel] in [frail, human] vessels of earth, that the grandeur {and} exceeding greatness of the power may be shown to be from God and not from ourselves.

2 Cor 10:17 However, let him who boasts {and} glories boast {and} glory in the Lord.
2 Cor 10:18 For [it is] not [the man] who praises {and} commends himself who is approved {and} accepted, but [it is the person] whom the Lord accredits {and} commends.

Prov 22:4 The reward of humility {and} the reverent {and} worshipful fear of the Lord is riches and honor and life.

Prov 27:1 DO NOT boast of [yourself and] tomorrow, for you know not what a day may bring forth.
Prov 27:2 Let another man praise you, and not your own mouth; a stranger, and not your own lips.

Prov 18:12
Haughtiness comes before disaster, but humility before honor.

Eccl 4:13 Better is a poor and wise youth than an old and foolish king who no longer knows how to receive counsel (friendly reproof and warning)

Matt 23:11 He who is greatest among you shall be your servant.
Matt 23:12 Whoever exalts himself [with haughtiness and empty pride] shall be humbled (brought low), and whoever humbles himself [whoever has a modest opinion of himself and behaves accordingly] shall be raised to honor.

Luke 18:11 The Pharisee took his stand ostentatiously and began to pray thus before {and} with himself: God, I thank You that I am not like the rest of men--extortioners (robbers), swindlers [unrighteous in heart and life], adulterers--or even like this tax collector here.
Luke 18:12 I fast twice a week; I give tithes of all that I gain.
Luke 18:13 But the tax collector, [merely] standing at a distance, would not even lift up his eyes to heaven, but kept striking his breast, saying, O God, be favorable (be gracious, be merciful) to me, the especially wicked sinner that I am!
Luke 18:14 I tell you, this man went down to his home justified (forgiven and made upright and in right standing with God), rather than the other man; for everyone who exalts himself will be humbled, but he who humbles himself will be exalted.

Ps 138:6 For though the Lord is high, yet has He respect to the lowly [bringing them into fellowship with Him]; but the proud {and} haughty He knows {and} recognizes [only] at a distance.

How to controle your tonque

Prov 18:21 Death and life are in the power of the tongue, and they who indulge in it shall eat the fruit of it [for death or life].

Eph 4:29 Let no foul {or} polluting language, {nor} evil word {nor} unwholesome {or} worthless talk [ever] come out of your mouth, but only such [speech] as is good {and} beneficial to the spiritual progress of others, as is fitting to the need {and} the occasion, that it may be a blessing {and} give grace (God's favor) to those who hear it.
Eph 4:31 Let all bitterness and indignation {and} wrath (passion, rage, bad temper) and resentment (anger, animosity) and quarreling (brawling, clamor, contention) and slander (evil-speaking, abusive or blasphemous language) be banished from you, with all malice (spite, ill will, or baseness of any kind).
Eph 4:32 And become useful {and} helpful {and} kind to one another, tenderhearted (compassionate, understanding, loving-hearted), forgiving one another [readily and freely], as God in Christ forgave you.

Prov 13:3 He who guards his mouth keeps his life, but he who opens wide his lips comes to ruin.

Luke 6:45 The upright (honorable, intrinsically good) man out of the good treasure [stored] in his heart produces what is upright (honorable and intrinsically good), and the evil man out of the evil storehouse brings forth that which is depraved (wicked and intrinsically evil); for out of the abundance (overflow) of the heart his mouth speaks.

Matt 12:36 But I tell you, on the day of judgment men will have to give account for every idle (inoperative, nonworking) word they speak.

1 Chr 16:9 Sing to Him, sing praises to Him; meditate on {and} talk of all His wondrous works {and} devoutly praise them!

Prov 21:23 He who guards his mouth and his tongue keeps himself from troubles.

Prov 24:28 Be not a witness against your neighbor without cause, and deceive not with your lips.

1 Tim 6:20 O Timothy, guard {and} keep the deposit entrusted [to you]! Turn away from the irreverent babble {and} godless chatter, with the vain {and} empty {and} worldly phrases, and the subtleties {and} the contradictions in what is falsely called knowledge {and} spiritual illumination.
1 Tim 6:21 [For] by making such profession some have erred (missed the mark) as regards the faith. Grace (divine favor and blessing) be with you all! {Amen (so be it).}

Titus 3:9 But avoid stupid {and} foolish controversies and genealogies and dissensions and wrangling about the Law, for they are unprofitable and futile.

Job 27:3 As long as my life is still whole within me, and the breath of God is [yet] in my nostrils,
Job 27:4 My lips shall not speak untruth, nor shall my tongue utter deceit.

Job 2:10 But he said to her, You speak as one of the impious {and} foolish women would speak. What? Shall we accept [only] good at the hand of God and shall we not accept [also] misfortune {and} what is of a bad nature? In [spite of] all this, Job did not sin with his lips.

1 Pet 3:10 For let him who wants to enjoy life and see good days [good--whether apparent or not] keep his tongue free from evil and his lips from guile (treachery, deceit).

1 Pet 1:15 But as the One Who called you is holy, you yourselves also be holy in all your conduct {and} manner of living.

1 Pet 2:23 When He was reviled {and} insulted, He did not revile {or} offer insult in return; [when] He was abused {and} suffered, He made no threats [of vengeance]; but he trusted [Himself and everything] to Him Who judges fairly.

Prov 15:4 A gentle tongue [with its healing power] is a tree of life, but willful contrariness in it breaks down the spirit.

Prov 18:7 A [self-confident] fool's mouth is his ruin, and his lips are a snare to himself.
Prov 18:8 The words of a whisperer {or} talebearer are as dainty morsels; they go down into the innermost parts of the body.

James 3:6 And the tongue is a fire. [The tongue is a] world of wickedness set among our members, contaminating {and} depraving the whole body and setting on fire the wheel of birth (the cycle of man's nature), being itself ignited by hell (Gehenna).
James 3:10
Out of the same mouth come forth blessing and cursing. These things, my brethren, ought not to be so.
James 3:11 Does a fountain send forth [simultaneously] from the same opening fresh water and bitter?

James 1:26 If anyone thinks himself to be religious (piously observant of the external duties of his faith) and does not bridle his tongue but deludes his own heart, this person's religious service is worthless (futile, barren).

Ps 17:4 Concerning the works of men, by the word of Your lips I have avoided the ways of the violent (the paths of the destroyer).

Prov 12:18 There are those who speak rashly, like the piercing of a sword, but the tongue of the wise brings healing.
Prov 12:19 Truthful lips shall be established forever, but a lying tongue is [credited] but for a moment.

Ps 141:3 Set a guard, O Lord, before my mouth; keep watch at the door of my lips.

Prov 20:15 There is gold, and a multitude of pearls, but the lips of knowledge are a vase of preciousness [the most precious of all].

Ps 50:23 He who brings an offering of praise {and} thanksgiving honors {and} glorifies Me; and he who orders his way aright [who prepares the way that I may show him], to him I will demonstrate the salvation of God.

How to be Christ-Centered

Col 3:16 Let the word [spoken by] Christ (the Messiah) have its home [in your hearts and minds] {and} dwell in you in [all its] richness, as you teach and admonish {and} train one another in all insight {and} intelligence {and} wisdom [in spiritual things, and as you sing] psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, making melody to God with [His] grace in your hearts.
Col 3:17 And whatever you do [no matter what it is] in word or deed, do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus {and} in [dependence upon] His Person, giving praise to God the Father through Him.

Prov 8:17 I love those who love me, and those who seek me early {and} diligently shall find me.

1 Chr 16:11 Seek the Lord and His strength; yearn for {and} seek His face {and} to be in His presence continually!

John 15:16 You have not chosen Me, but I have chosen you and I have appointed you [I have planted you], that you might go and bear fruit {and} keep on bearing, and that your fruit may be lasting [that it may remain, abide], so that whatever you ask the Father in My Name [as presenting all that I AM], He may give it to you.

How to understand the liberty that is in Christ

Rom 8:1 THEREFORE, [there is] now no condemnation (no adjudging guilty of wrong) for those who are in Christ Jesus, {who live [and] walk not after the dictates of the flesh, but after the dictates of the Spirit.}
Rom 8:2 For the law of the Spirit of life [which is] in Christ Jesus [the law of our new being] has freed me from the law of sin and of death.

Gal 5:13 For you, brethren, were [indeed] called to freedom; only [do not let your] freedom be an incentive to your flesh {and} an opportunity {or} excuse [for selfishness], but through love you should serve one another.

Gal 3:28 There is [now no distinction] neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free, there is not male and female; for you are all one in Christ Jesus.

James 1:25 But he who looks carefully into the faultless law, the [law] of liberty, and is faithful to it {and} perseveres in looking into it, being not a heedless listener who forgets but an active doer [who obeys], he shall be blessed in his doing (his life of obedience).

Rev 22:16 I, Jesus, have sent My messenger (angel) to you to witness {and} to give you assurance of these things for the churches (assemblies). I am the Root (the Source) and the Offspring of David, the radiant {and} brilliant Morning Star.
Rev 22:17 The [Holy] Spirit and the bride (the church, the true Christians) say, Come! And let him who is listening say, Come! And let everyone come who is thirsty [who is painfully conscious of his need of those things by which the soul is refreshed, supported, and strengthened]; and whoever [earnestly] desires to do it, let him come, take, appropriate, {and} drink the water of Life without cost.

John 8:32 And you will know the Truth, and the Truth will set you free.
John 8:36 So if the Son liberates you [makes you free men], then you are really {and} unquestionably free.

2 Cor 3:17 Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty (emancipation from bondage, freedom).

Gal 5:1 IN [this] freedom Christ has made us free [and completely liberated us]; stand fast then, and do not be hampered {and} held ensnared {and} submit again to a yoke of slavery [which you have once put off].

Rom 8:21 That nature (creation) itself will be set free from its bondage to decay {and} corruption [and gain an entrance] into the glorious freedom of God's children.

1 Cor 9:1 AM I not an apostle (a special messenger)? Am I not free (unrestrained and exempt from any obligation)? Have I not seen Jesus our Lord? Are you [yourselves] not [the product and proof of] my workmanship in the Lord?

1 Pet 2:16 [Live] as free people, [yet] without employing your freedom as a pretext for wickedness; but [live at all times] as servants of God.

Rom 3:22 Namely, the righteousness of God which comes by believing {with} personal trust {and} confident reliance on Jesus Christ (the Messiah). [And it is meant] for all who believe. For there is no distinction,
Rom 3:23 Since all have sinned and are falling short of the honor {and} glory which God bestows {and} receives.
Rom 3:24 [All] are justified {and} made upright {and} in right standing with God, freely {and} gratuitously by His grace (His unmerited favor and mercy), through the redemption which is [provided] in Christ Jesus,
Rom 3:25 Whom God put forward [before the eyes of all] as a mercy seat {and} propitiation by His blood [the cleansing and life-giving sacrifice of atonement and reconciliation, to be received] through faith. This was to show God's righteousness, because in His divine forbearance He had passed over {and} ignored former sins without punishment.

Isaiah 52:3 For thus says the Lord: You were sold for nothing, and you shall be redeemed without money.

1 Cor 9:19 For although I am free in every way from anyone's control, I have made myself a bond servant to everyone, so that I might gain the more [for Christ].
