Bible study The
Grace of God
How far does God's Grace carry me To get started we will define the word grace, the common phrase is " undeserved favor " and the favor is defined as being treated with preference and being the sweetheart, the apple of the eye, wanting to honor, putting before others, friendliness and a lot of other favorable words. This whole study deserves a attitude of thankfulness towards God, because there is a risk in telling you how far Grace will carry you, the carnal Christian may thank me to take away their guilt and the lawful Christian may feel themselves robbed from their loyalty towards God and the unbelieving Christian may get outright angry for making the Gospel so cheap. Never the less we are going to take a risk by putting the Grace of God in it's proper place. I will gladly take the risk to show fort the beauty and the charm that Grace is and try to as complete as can be. The risk is primarily for those who try to rob us from God's grace and then we have those who are the abusers of God's grace, both will come from their dark corners through this message and experience being exposed in the light of this true wonderful grace of God. Most people that will read this study are likely to be Christians at one way or another, the non Christian will have no idea about the grace of God or even heard about it. It is therefore that grace is hard to understand, because it requires to have faith and trust in God. It is because of unbelief that people often turn from grace to works. All the religions in the world have one thing in common, they have to work for their
beliefs, while Christianity is based on grace and a relationship with God as being our
Father and all Christians brothers in Christ. Rom 5:2 Through Him also we have [our] access (entrance, introduction) by faith into this grace (state of God's favor) in which we [firmly and safely] stand. And let us rejoice {and} exult in our hope of experiencing {and} enjoying the glory of God. By whom also we have access by faith, The access here spoken of is not to the blessing of justification of being declared righteous (we will deal with this later) For though that is a grace which we have access to by Christ, and come at the knowledge of by faith, and enjoy the comfort of through it; and is a grace in which persons stand, and from which they shall never fall, and lays a solid foundation for rejoicing in hope of eternal glory. (Gills commentary) When we talk about grace we often think of free salvation free provision and blessings, but this grace is far more than an occasion, this is a grace in which we stand by faith, and will never leave us, it's power is continually and never stops. Many of God's children have been robbed from this grace by greedy graspers and those using their God given gifting to make gain and profit. They preach fear into their followers and use this to profit and submit telling them not eat this that pay tithes or you are under a curse, do this do that. But God will give us all things for free. Phil 4:19 And my God will liberally supply (fill to the full) your every need according to His riches in glory in Christ Jesus. How many times we see these days that preachers and churches are trying to rob us from
the privilege we have as being in Christ Jesus, many will not mention grace as the
supplier for all our needs, and for sure they wont tell you that God is supplying
liberally, Why, well it simple you can't profit from grace, you can't ask a seed faith
from grace, you can't ask to pay tithes from grace, and you can't ask anything when God
will supply it for free to those who don't deserve it. John 17:13 And now I am coming to You; I say these things while I am still in the world, so that My joy may be made full {and} complete {and} perfect in them [that they may experience My delight fulfilled in them, that My enjoyment may be perfected in their own souls, that they may have My gladness within them, filling their hearts]. 2 Cor 8:9 For you are becoming progressively acquainted with {and} recognizing more strongly {and} clearly the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ (His kindness, His gracious generosity, His undeserved favor and spiritual blessing), [in] that though He was [so very] rich, yet for your sakes He became [so very] poor, in order that by His poverty you might become enriched (abundantly supplied). God gave us the most important and great gift that all other things are subject to it, since He freely gave us His Son to die, would He give everything we need to live a enjoyable righteous life? Read the following verse. Rom 8:32 He who did not withhold {or} spare [even] His own Son but gave Him up for us all, will He not also with Him freely {and} graciously give us all [other] things? Wether they know it or not we are under grace, but we will only experience it's
wonderful freedom by knowledge with faith. And the reason that God's grace is upon us is
for one reason only, because we have become His children and in so doing we are called His
Son/Daughter. The grace in which we stand The source of this grace is God, and why we have it is simple, because we have believed the gospel and accepted the free gift of salvation. Acts 16:31 And they answered, Believe in the Lord Jesus {Christ} [give yourself up to Him, take yourself out of your own keeping and entrust yourself into His keeping] and you will be saved, Even this way of salvation is "grace" because God gave the Lord jesus as an offer to sinners Rom 5:8 But God shows {and} clearly proves His [own] love for us by the fact
that while we were still sinners, Christ (the Messiah, the Anointed One) died for us. Eph 2:9 Not because of works [not the fulfillment of the Law's demands], lest any man should boast. [It is not the result of what anyone can possibly do, so no one can pride himself in it or take glory to himself.] The righteousness of God once and for all. Rom 5:1 THEREFORE, SINCE we are justified (acquitted, declared righteous, and given a right standing with God) through faith, let us [grasp the fact that we] have [the peace of reconciliation to hold and to enjoy] peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ (the Messiah, the Anointed One). And because we accepted Jesus as Lord and Savior we have become a child of God and we are standing in that "grace" of being declared righteous. Does it mean I am not sinning anymore? No not at all, but it means that what is accepted as a gift through faith is established by faith and is held together by faith and nothing else, even if I would never have one good work, my faith in Christ will hold up my righteousness in Christ. I am in a state of God's favor. Rom 5:2 Through Him also we have [our] access (entrance, introduction) by faith
into this grace (state of God's favor) in which we [firmly and safely] stand. And let us
rejoice {and} exult in our hope of experiencing {and} enjoying the glory of God.
So now I can sin? Rom 6:2 Certainly not! How can we who died to sin live in it any longer?
Now we have taken up the free gift of salvation through faith, The result is, that now we are declared not guilty, for sin is taken away from us. I am already free from all wrong, in the past, but also in the present and also in the future. And if we abuse this grace God will chasten us to bring us back to our senses and live according to the prompting of the Spirit and (our consciousness)
Rom 6:14 For sin shall not [any longer] exert dominion over you, since now you are not under Law [as slaves], but under grace [as subjects of God's favor and mercy]. God did this to let His Son become a curse for us, so the curse is lifted and grace
takes it's place Gal 3:13 Christ purchased our freedom [redeeming us] from the curse (doom) of the Law [and its condemnation] by [Himself] becoming a curse for us, for it is written [in the Scriptures], Cursed is everyone who hangs on a tree (is crucified); Now there is no need for the law for righteousness sake, since we have become righteous
in Christ Jesus and thus freed from sin. So God declared us not guilty and the law's work was done showing us to be in need of a
savior Since there is no law, there is no transgression Rom 5:13 [To be sure] sin was in the world before ever the Law was given, but sin is not charged to men's account where there is no law [to transgress]. This will lead us into the
righteousness of God Rom 5:1 THEREFORE, SINCE we are justified (acquitted, declared righteous, and given a right standing with God) through faith, let us [grasp the fact that we] have [the peace of reconciliation to hold and to enjoy] peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ (the Messiah, the Anointed One). Rom 5:2 Through Him also we have [our] access (entrance, introduction) by faith into this grace (state of God's favor) in which we [firmly and safely] stand. And let us rejoice {and} exult in our hope of experiencing {and} enjoying the glory of God. Our standing in that Grace is tied up in our right standing with God, how did we obtain it, through faith as a gift of God eph 2:8-9 and is not possible that anyone is able to take it away, unless the grace robber comes along and is able to convince you that we have to do something to deserve God's favor and Grace and provision. If you are able to grasp this truth, never let it go, and hold on to grace by faith, and say I am the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus. For this reason Christ came to give us eternal life and life more abundantly, 2 Cor 5:21 For our sake He made Christ [virtually] to be sin Who knew no sin, so that in {and} through Him we might become [endued with, viewed as being in, and examples of] the righteousness of God [what we ought to be, approved and acceptable and in right relationship with Him, by His goodness]. May god Bless you abundantly as you stand in this Grace from now on, living your life in the Spirit and in the goodness of God. Grace came fort from the love of God, grace is imbedded in love, grace is love in action How far will grace carry you? All the way, We are His beloved in Christ Jesus and He
saved us by His grace, we are righteous because of the shed blood of Jesus, Our favor with
God (standing in Grace) is based on that fact, and is eternal, for His blood is a
continual cleansing power. And will keep us till the end no one can take it away, no one can separate it from us. Rom 8:39 Nor height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation will be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
GOD BLESS!
