ASCC

an independent consultancy firm specialised in the field of oil and chemical
spill response on inland waters, coastline and sea.
Emergency management/contingency planning:
Since about 1989, ASCC has been working in the
field of emergency management issues for the Netherlands Ministry of Transport
and Public Works, the European Commission and many other national and
international commissioning organisations.
Research, development and consultancy:
ASCC covers both research, development and
consultancy in the fields of modelling, training and impact assessment and spill
response technologies. In this way, ASCC has contributed significantly to the
knowledge and methodologies regarding the whole area of spill control at sea,
coastline and inland waters. ASCC
represents a high level of technical and scientific expertise ASCC has been
involved in many major chemical spills. Response to chemical spills is a field
in which ASCC has large experience. ASCC also has great experiences in the
effect of chemical spills in the marine environment. . ASCC operates his own
inland observation vessel “Aquatrim”
Computer modeling: A central role in thel work
within ASCC is performed by computer modeling,
These computer systems covers all aspects of accidental spill control (databases, information management, decision support,equipment ranking, spill control etc.). OILSHEET and CHEMSHEET are two
recent products of ASCC
Training: ASCC also focuses on training development.
Oil spill response courses as well as chemical spill control courses on various levels are
given by ASCC.
