Information given in the Country listings: * Country: Main country, notation is English. * Country2: Subcountry or name of a Region. * PubYr: Year of Publication. * Michel: Used numbering system. - If and when known I give: - StaGib (Stanley & Gibbons,UK), - WNS (WADP numbers from the UPU), - Yvert (Yvert & Tellier,France). - National numbering only when relevant. * Value: Nominal stampvalue. * Colour: speaks for itself. * CIP: see left for more information. * Picture ID: Motive on stamp. |
CIP: Grading of The Carto Philatelic Society: "A" is a generally good quality, identifiable map that is either the main feature of the stamp or a supporting feature. "AR" is a reproduction of old maps or charts. "O" all other maps such as tiny maps, outline maps, stylized maps, globes, emblems (such as the UN, UPU, UIT emblem or symbol), stylized globes with no surface features identified, views of the Earth from space (either partial or full view of the Earth), views of (old) cities showing streets or road layouts. "OC" Mapmakers and map making equipment. "DI" Geographical Discoverers. --> (Note: "DI" is not from the Carto Philatelic Soc. but added by me just for my own collection.) |
