information. There was a king who had
absolute power. The society was divided in all kinds of persons
The Nobles , The Clergy , and Farmers(Third Estate). The so called
the three estates or classes. There was a revolt and the king had to go,
Hungry people were angry and everbody would be free and equal for the law.
So far so good than suddenly there was terror, wars, emperor Napoleon and

So far so good all over Europe this pieces are
remembered by a lot of people who went to school. But the reality was that
before 1789 the society was not so clear divided. During the 18 th century
the economic situation was moving upward and some people became rich and
wanted to be a member of the nobility or the clergy therefore they bought
offices from the crown which included membership of the Nobility.New
industries were started through ......? people of noble origin.(they had
the money to do so and could get the legal papers for starting a
bussiness). The Nobility wanted to keep their standards of living, the ones
who did not, became poor, there were a lot of families of noble origin
which became poor.If you did something special you could be rewarded with
a title by the king. And people made forgeries to show their noble
origins.Literature and art which attacked the maladies of the society
were spread in large sections of the higher echelons of society, and even
the members of the court were well informed, A lot of high placed
people would certainly reform French Society but most of them thought the
royal house would fit in their schemes. If some reforms were started the
most opposition came from people who did not want to give up their
financial position and they were the ones who later wanted to start a
republic by saying that the ordinary people would be better off. And the
plans of the Crown would not enlighten their situation.
