About me
My name is Ron Kraan and I was born in 1969, I became affected by the aircraft virus on the age of 11. Besides a long carreer as an aircraft spotter (until 2001), I started to collect flight gear, ejection seats and other aircrew survival related items. This made me an advisor to the RNLAF museum at Soesterberg and the RNLAF.
Writing articles on flight gear and aircraft, brought me all over the world. Flying with several Air Forces and visiting countries like Oman, the Maldives, Russia, the USA and much more. Highlights have been flying SAR operations with the Canadian Air Force, flying over Eastern Germany with the Soviet Air Force and low level operations over the Maldives with a Bulgarian Mi-8.
