Consultancy in the field of:
- The fate and effects of substances (including heavy metals) in the environment. Specialised in the fate of (pesticide) chemicals in soil and sediment, surface water and groundwater, and transport (leaching) processes in soil.
- Effects on soil and aquatic organisms.
- Advise on environmental matters of registration.
Detailed experience:
- Rate and route of degradation of pesticides and organic chemicals in soil, subsoil, groundwater and ditch sediment.
- Metabolism, bound residues and mineralisation.
- Mobility and transport of pesticides and organic chemicals in soil.
- Risk of groundwater pollution.
- Adsorption / desorption in soil.
- Effects of chemicals on micro-organisms, especially soil microbial processes.
- Effects of pesticides on soil respiration and nitrification.
- Soil microbiology.
- Ecotoxicology in soil and water.
Dr.J.W. Vonk is a member of the Royal Dutch Chemical Society (KNCV) Consultancy Group.
He has much experience in helping the CTB (Dutch Board of Authorization of Pesticides) in matters of summarizing and evaluating dossiers for the approval of pesticides.
Member of the Dutch Platform on Higher Tier Studies
