KSC Launch Complex 39

The Launch Complex in a configuration as used during the Apollo program. The Saturn V stack was assembled in the Vehicle Assembly Building (VAB). After assembly all systems of the stack were tested. The test was conducted from one of the four firing rooms in the Launch Complex Center (LCC). When the tests had been finalized the whole rocket with the Launch Umbilical Tower was transported to one of the two launch pads.
The large first and second stage of the Saturn V were delivered by barge at the small port nearby the VAB.
